Urban Landscape and Green Space in Arid and Semi Arid Regions
Challenges and Policies

The Iran Municipalities and Rural Management Organization with the participation of the Iranian Society of Landscape Professions (ISLAP)- the representative of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) -intends to hold the first international and the fourth national conference with the objective of providing the latest achievements in scientific research and implementation of urban landscape and green space and exchange of knowledge among the Iranians and international experts. Beside the conference, professional fair and workshops would be held as well.
For this purpose, the professors, researchers and experts of the relevant fields are invited to submit their papers and essays on their experiences and studies in conformity with the climate condition of Iran.
The essays relevant to the topic of the conference are asked to be on the following topics:
- Climate limitations and design for bioclimatic comfort
- Soil and Water (quantitative and qualitative) limitation
- Creating urban landscape in accordance with the land capacities
- Estimation of required green space per capita
- Landscape ordinances and standards
- Urban Landscape integrated management practices
For preliminary evaluation, authors are invited to submit the abstracts (up to600 words) in the format of Microsoft Word with the font Arial , size14 .
